Villa Maya, a Mexican-inspired designer villa overlooking Sitges, offers a Mediterranean holiday oasis with breathtaking sea views from all around the property. This luxurious villa boasts a 12m x 7m swimming pool, a spacious jacuzzi with a sauna, and a complete outdoor summer kitchen, providing a perfect retreat for relaxation.

Nearby, Garraf Natural Park offers beautiful landscapes and extensive biking and hiking trails, while the coastal area provides endless water sports opportunities. It’s only a short drive to the centre of Sitges with its boutiques, cafes, bars, restaurants, and miles of golden sandy beaches. The centre of Barcelona and airport are conveniently accessible, making Villa Maya the perfect choice for a holiday in Sitges.

ACCOMMODATION

Villa Maya offers 450 m2 of stylishly designed living space arranged across 3 floors and all set within 1,500 m2 of attractive Mediterranean gardens. The centrepiece of the front garden is the wonderful 12m x 7m swimming pool, which is surrounded by a large terrace, bordered with lush Mediterranean cactus and palms, and with plenty of sun loungers on which to relax. This side of the villa also enjoys amazing views over the rolling hills of the Garraf Natural Park with glimpses of the iconic Montserrat mountain in the distance.

The tasteful interior features cool grey ceramic floor tiles and soft wall colourings throughout. All the rooms are spacious, light and airy with air conditioning in all the bedrooms. Villa Maya offers guests a unique mix of space, seclusion, and convenience in a truly spectacular setting.

The villa is arranged over 4 floors as follows.

Ground Floor

The main entrance of Villa Maya is from street level with stairs leading up to the entrance level where the front garden and pool area are located. From here it is possible to access all sides of the house.

The entrance to the house leads into a spacious open plan living area furnished with a very large and comfortable L-shaped sofa, 2 armchairs, a coffee table, TV, Sonos sound system, and an attractive wood burner for those cozy out out of season evenings. The dining area offers a large table that can comfortably seat up to 12 guests.

The full length of one side of the the open plan area has floor-to-ceiling sliding doors capturing the stunning views of Sitges and the sea. The doors provide access out to a fantastic split-level terrace complete with large dining area, viewing bench and sun loungers to relax on while enjoying the amazing views.

Separated by a partition to the left is the spacious, modern and fully equipped kitchen complete with a breakfast bar seating 4 guests. Doors lead out to the terrace and the outdoor kitchen, additional dining area with jacuzzi and sauna near by.

There is also a bathroom located on this level complete with washbasin and toilet.

First Floor

The stairs leading up to the first level offer beautiful views of the surrounding hills. At the top of the stairs is a spacious high ceilinged hallway with 4 of the 5 bedrooms leading off it.

Located straight ahead are two ensuites. The first is a beautiful master suite with a large 200cm x 200cm super king size bed plus an additional single Z-bed if required. The room has an ensuite bathroom with large bath, separate shower, and double washbasin. There are sliding doors leading out to a private terrace with magnificent 180 degree sea and mountain views.

The second suite has an ensuite bathroom with shower, washbasin, toilet and panoramic hill views.

Also located on this level is a spacious twin/triple room and a double bedroom that both share a family bathroom.

Second Floor

Stairs lead up from the hallway to a further ensuite bedroom with an extra sofa bed and a private terrace with spectacular sea and mountain views.

Basement

A really unique artistic feature of Villa Maya is the aircraft engine casing that has been used to create the top section of the stairs that lead down to the utility room. The utility room offers an additional fridge, freezer and washing machine for guest use.

Villa Maya can sleep up to 10/12 guests (10 adults maximum) in 5 bedrooms arranged as follows;

Bedrooms

Bedroom 1 – Large master suite – wardrobe area, private terrace with magnificent sea views. A Z-bed can be added to this room.

Bedroom 2 – Suite – large double bed, built-in wardrobes, ensuite bathroom.

Bedroom 3 –Twin / double or triple with single wardrobe & drawers.

Bedroom 4 – Double with single wardrobe & drawers.

Bedroom 5 – Top level – double sofa bed with ensuite bathroom & views of the sea and mountains.

Bathrooms:

Bathroom 1 – Entrance level – toilet, washbasin.

Bathroom 2 – Family bathroom – walk in shower, washbasin, toilet.

Bathroom 3 – Large ensuite to Bedroom 1 with bath, double washbasins, separate toilet, bidet.

Bathroom 4- Ensuite to Bedroom 2 – walk in shower, washbasin, toilet, views.

Bathroom 5- Ensuite to Bedroom 5.

Gardens and Terraces

The gardens and terraces at Villa Maya are perfect for enjoying a relaxing and peaceful break in the sun. At the front of the villa is a fantastic 12m x 7m swimming pool surrounded by plenty of sunbathing space and enjoying stunning views across the Garraf Natural Park.

To the rear of the villa is a fabulous jacuzzi (3m x 4m) with room for up to 12 people, perfectly placed to marvel at the spectacular views of Sitges and the sea. The sauna is located close by.

A full outdoor kitchen is equipped with a large BBQ and a dining table for up to 12 guests. This area is covered to give protection and shade from the hot midday sun.

Beyond the BBQ area are serene gardens with a pond and water feature surrounded by beautifully placed Mediterranean plants providing the perfect place for contemplation and meditation.

Outside of the kitchen and living room is an additional dining space with a large circular table for up to 8 guests, and a raised platform offering an ideal spot in which to sit and watch the sun go down whilst enjoying a glass of cava or a cocktail

There is unlimited and free on-street parking at the front of the villa and no permits are required.

*Please note that the Villa comes with house guests! Frida and Diego – beautiful well trained cats that live independently in the house and are fed by a house keeper that lives next door.

Good to know

All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned.

The villa is a 3-minute drive from supermarkets, bakers and cafes.

Sitges is a 5-minute drive and beaches 7 minutes.

Walks and family cycle paths start close by the villa.

There is is unlimited free on-street parking outside the villa.

Although a local bus and taxi service is available we do recommend having access to a car in order to fully enjoy the local amenities and attractions.
