Een prachtig Catalaans landhuis uit de 17e eeuw dat ooit 140.000 liter wijn per jaar produceerde en nu is gerestaureerd tot zijn charmante oorspronkelijke karakter.

Can Marcer de la Penya is een prachtig Catalaans landhuis (Masia) dat oorspronkelijk in 1605 werd gebouwd. Het werd in 2001 gekocht door de huidige eigenaren, die het huis vervolgens hebben gerenoveerd en gemoderniseerd tot een hoge standaard, terwijl ze veel van de originele kenmerken en de algehele karakter van het pand behouden. Het huis ligt iets terug van de kust in een vredige en verhoogde locatie te midden van de wijngaarden en heuvels van de Garraf, en is toch slechts 30 minuten rijden van de luchthaven van Barcelona en op slechts 10 minuten van alle voorzieningen en attracties van het levendige strandresort Sitges.

Met 750 m² binnenruimte is er voldoende ruimte voor gasten om te genieten van hun verblijf in dit unieke en indrukwekkende landhuis.

Can Marcer de la Penya biedt comfortabel plaats aan 26 gasten in 10 prachtig ingerichte en overwegend ensuite slaapkamers met in totaal 21 bedden, als volgt verdeeld:

– Cardona (6m x 4m) – 1 kingsize bed, gelegen op de begane grond en heeft een ensuite douchekamer. Airco.

– Manresa (4m x 3.6m) – 1 kingsize bed, gelegen op de begane grond met ensuite douchekamer. Vloerventilator.

– Ripoll (8.1m x 4m) – 1 tweepersoonsbed, gelegen op de 1e verdieping. Gedeelde ensuite douchekamer. Vloerventilator.

– Mont Blanc (8.1m x 4m) – 2 eenpersoonsbedden, gelegen op de 1e verdieping. Douchekamer gedeeld met Ripoll. Grote, stille plafondventilator.

– Montserrat (7m x 4.5m) – 1 super kingsize bed, op de 1e verdieping met privéterras en ensuite badkamer. Airco en grote, stille plafondventilator.

– Pedrera (9m x 4m) – 3 eenpersoonsbedden, op de 1e verdieping met ensuite douchekamer. Airco en grote, stille plafondventilator.

– Garraf Suite (9.7m x 4m) – 3 eenpersoonsbedden, op de 1e verdieping met ensuite douchekamer. Airco en grote, stille plafondventilator.

– Poblet Suite (8.1m x 4m) – 3 eenpersoonsbedden, op de 1e verdieping. Een eenpersoonsbed in een aparte kamer. Ensuite douchekamer. Grote, stille plafondventilator.

– Penedes Suite (8.3m x 4.4m) – 1 tweepersoonsbed, 2 eenpersoonsbedden, op de 1e verdieping met ensuite douchekamer. Airco.

– De Suriana – 3 eenpersoonsbedden of een kingsize tweepersoonsbed en een eenpersoonsbed. Klein balkon en prachtig uitzicht op de zee. Ensuite douchekamer. Airco. Alle slaapkamers zijn ensuite, behalve Mont Blanc, die de douchekamer deelt met Ripoll.

TUINEN & BUITENRUIMTES

Zonder twijfel is het middelpunt van de prachtige buitenruimtes van Can Marcer de la Penya het heerlijke verwarmde zoutwaterzwembad van 9m x 4.5m en de poolbar, omringd door zonneterrassen en gazon.

Gasten kunnen luieren op een van de vele ligstoelen rond de rand van het zwembad in volledige privacy, terwijl ze genieten van het panoramische uitzicht op de zee.

Buiten dineren is een genot op het mooie, schaduwrijke terras met uitzicht op het Garraf Natuurpark, met plaats voor tot 26 gasten. Er is ook een groot entertainmentgebied met een chill-out zone, Weber BBQ en bar, en een party/games room met veel comfortabele patio-meubels, die perfecte plekken bieden om te ontspannen en te genieten van een drankje.

Er zijn andere schaduwrijke hoekjes in de tuinen die privé toevluchtsoorden bieden voor stille contemplatie uit de hete middagzon.

Het terrein van de masia strekt zich uit over meer dan 2.000 m² en biedt vanuit alle hoeken van het pand prachtige berg- en zeelandschappen. Daarnaast is er een overdekte buitenruimte, La Casita, met een tafeltennistafel.

Can Marcer de la Penya kan tot 60 gasten ontvangen voor evenementen in de open lucht.

Boekingsinformatie

– Een minimumverblijf van 3** of 4 * nachten is vereist, afhankelijk van het seizoen. Voor Kerst en Pasen geldt een minimumverblijf van 5 nachten.

– Prijzen zijn inclusief tot 22 gasten, extra bedden kunnen worden toegevoegd tegen een kosten van €50,00 per nacht.

– Een Engelssprekende huismanager verwelkomt u bij aankomst en is beschikbaar om u tijdens uw verblijf te helpen.

– Dagelijkse schoonmaakdienst van 2 uur per dag van maandag tot vrijdag (bij boekingen van meer dan een week).

– Toeristenbelasting en €350 eindschoonmaak zijn bij aankomst te betalen.

– Een betaling van 30% van de boekingskosten is vereist om de reservering te bevestigen, het resterende bedrag dient zes weken voor uw aankomst te worden betaald.

– Een terugbetaalbare borg van €1.500 (€2.500 voor evenementen) is verschuldigd.

Your House is amazing as it is nice and cosy for 4 as for 16 people or more, which is quite exeptional. I loved the place. As I said in the first place we wanted somewhere where friends could visit, not least to see one of our daughters who was over from Australia for the first time in 18 months. It was perfect and allowed lots of people to come and go for short times. lovely meals overlooking the valley. Enjoyed the cycling in the garraf but barely scratched the surface of what was available so may need to come back!! Now struggling with hundreds of emails from the past two weeks so yours is a welcome distraction. Many thanks for letting us have the place.

Thanks, it was a wonderful stay and the house is amazing. The house was so comfortable and thoughtfully stocked. Thanks for the welcome basket! We really appreciate the convenience of things like beach towels, pool toys and hair dryers. Coming from the US with our small suitcases those are the items we can’t bring and it really made our stay nice. A couple (very minor) suggestions next time you shop for the house: a larger drip coffee maker and a really large salad bowl. (Of course we’re Americans and we like everything big!).

We stayed at Can Marcer de la Penya for a week in May/June 2018. Our group of 19 consisted of 4 family generations to celebrate an 80th Birthday. The Masia is maintained to a high standard and retains much of its original character. Our family daytime activities on site were generally centred around the pool area, where we were able to spread out and enjoy the luxurious surroundings, sunshine and of course cool off in the lovely pool. In the evenings we tended to gathered for family meals on the upper dining terrace from which the views were fantastic. The owner and housekeeper couldn’t have been more helpful and were available to assist and advise during our stay. We chose not to hire a car on this occasion and found that Taxis into Sitges were generally easy to organise from the property. Similarly, walks in to the local town of Sant Pere de Ribes were possible from the Masia and from here you can pick up transport into Sitges, Barcelona and further afield.

My family and I stayed at the villa for a week. The villa is really pretty and big, located in the middle of a vineyard. It is not super easy to access but that makes it even more charming, as you really feel secluded and in touch with nature. All rooms were beautiful, some bigger and some more cosy, but all charming. It was great to have several communal areas where the family could gather or separate. The one thing I would suggest would be to install aircon in all room, since only three have aircon at the moment and it can get pretty hot during the day. The house manager, Jana, was extremely helpful and friendly. We really appreciated having her around as she was always willing to help and guide us. We can’t wait to be back and we highly recommend this place if you want to spend some time with a big group of friends or family.
