Masia Viladelops is a charming and authentic 15^th century Catalan farmhouse nestling amongst the vineyards of the celebrated Penedes cava and wine producing region, and yet only 45 minutes from Barcelona airport and 15 minutes from the Mediterranean coast.

The masia is part of the small hamlet of Viladellops where grapes are still pressed at the local Finca Viladellops wine cellar.

Masia Viladelops offers 350 sqm of inside living space, which has been thoughtfully and carefully restored by the current owners using only the very best natural materials.

The original features of the farmhouse, such as exposed wooden beams and old stone walls, have been retained and cleverly blended with newer enhancements and contemporary furnishing, so that the character of the old farmhouse is preserved but without compromising on modern standards of guest convenience and comfort.

The outside space at Masia Villadelops is equally impressive with the main feature being the superb 15m x 5m infinity pool with views over the rolling vineyards of the Penedes.

Despite the masia’s idylic rural vineyard setting it is only 45 minutes from Barcelona and just 15 minutes to Sitges and the coast. There are numerous good quality restaurants as well as wine and cava bodegas within a very short drive and guests can enjoy unlimited outdoor activities with walking, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding and quad biking right on the doorstep.

ACCOMMODATION

Masia Viladellops offers 350 m2 of beautifully restored living space arranged over 2 floors and comfortably accommodating up to 11/12 guests.

The masia is entered through large rustic doors into a spacious open plan living / dining area with beautiful high ceilings and restored original polished beams. The living room area has a large and comfortable L-shaped sofa, armchairs, wood burning stove and TV. There are double doors providing direct access out to the gardens and pool area.

Attached to the lounge is a dining area with a large rustic dining table with seating for up to 8 guests.

Kitchen

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances including oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine (Nespresso), toaster and all utensils required to make it home from home. The kitchen also has a small dining table with additional seating for 6 guests.

Bedrooms

There are 6 en-suite bedrooms each one beautifully decorated with its own unique theme.

Bedroom 1 – Spacious master suite with double wardrobe, desk with TV & air conditioning.
Bedroom 2 – Twin Bedroom with built-in wardrobes & en-suite.
Bedroom 3 – Twin bedroom with built-in wardrobes & en-suite.
Bedroom 4 – Ground Floor – twin bedroom with built-in wardrobes & en-suite.
Bedroom 5 – Ground Floor – single bedroom with en-suite.
Bedroom 6 – Separate annex with King size bed & en-suite.

There is an option to put a ZBED in either the single room on the ground floor or in the Separate annex.

Bathrooms

Bathroom 1 – En-suite to master suite with bath, shower, washbasin & toilet.
Bathroom 2 to 6 – En-suites to other bedrooms with walk in shower, bidet, toilet & washbasin.
Toilet – toilet and washbasin located by the kitchen.

There is also an additional toilet and shower by pool area.

GARDEN AND POOL AREA

The centrepiece of the gardens at Masia Viladelops has to be the wonderful 13m x 5m infinity pool with a beautiful back drop of the rolling hils of the Penedes wine region.

There are lush, flat lawned areas surrounding the pool providing plenty of space for sunbathing or for the children to play. Sun loungers and other seating are provided.

One great feature of the outside space is that the pool and lawns are surrounded on three sides by the house with the other side facing vineyards. This means that guests have total privacy when relaxing in the pool and garden.

There are two separate covered terraces at each end of the house, both overlook the pool area and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding vineyards.

One has a large teak dining table with seating for 12 guests, providing the perfect place for al-fresco dining at any time of the day. The second terrace has comfortable lounge seating and is the ideal space in which to relax with a drink after a hard day in the pool.

WEDDINGS & EVENTS

The house forms part of an estate that also includes other buildings and spaces that are perfect for weddings and events.

Sant Joan Hermitage & vineyards

The charming and unique 12th century hermitage of Sant Joan has a capacity for 40 guests as is located opposite the vineyard with views of the estate and the Olerdola Castle and wonderful sunsets at dusk. The hermitage can host presentations, meetings and seminars to small conferences and meals in a special setting.

In front of the Hermitage is a magnificent terrace (El Mirador) which is the ideal space to celebrate an outdoor civil wedding ceremony. With an unlimited capacity, this is a magical space in which to celebrate a special moment amidst the vineyards, almond trees and olive trees.

La Cantina

La Cantina has 3 rooms; One room spanning 50 m2 and with a capacity for 40 people is located on the ground floor, and the other two rooms are located on the upper floor.

On the upper floor, you can enjoy views of the town and the vineyards – an ideal place to come together. Distributed in two spaces. The first, spanning 45 m2, has large windows and a capacity of up to 40 people.

It has direct access to an outdoor terrace with views of the vineyards – an ideal place to disconnect if relaxation is what you seek. The second space, spanning 30m2, has a capacity of up to 25 people and is perfect for rounding out any event or holding small meetings.

El Patiois an outdoor space in front of La Cantina spanning 170 m2 and perfect for all types of events.
