Sleeps 12 (5 bedrooms/3 bathrooms) - Masia Can Suyas is a tastefully and lovingly restored historic Catalan farmhouse dating back to 1875 and set in the very heart of the celebrated Penedes wine region just 35 minutes from Sitges and less than an hour from Barcelona.

Masia Can Suyas is an exceptional holiday home that provides an idyllic rural retreat for those seeking a calm and relaxing interlude from the stresses of modern life. Lazy summer days can be enjoyed lounging by the large private swimming pool or resting in some shady corner of the extensive grounds that surround the masia, however, Masia Can Suyas is also perfectly situated for more energetic interludes with plenty of day trips and activities available close at hand. 

The house is just 35 minutes from the white sandy beaches of the popular sea towns of Sitges and Vilanova, 50 minutes from cosmopolitan Barcelona, 20 minutes to the historic wine and cava-producing centre of Vilafranca and only moments away from many famous wine and cava houses, including Torres.

The masia sits in its own landscaped grounds of over 1.5 hectares of green lawns, mature trees and Mediterranean plants and has spectacular views of the pine forest, mountains of Montserrat and local vineyards.

Masia Can Suyas is equipped to the highest standards expected of a quality holiday home and offers every amenity necessary to make your holiday in the Penedes vineyards a truly memorable experience.

ACCOMMODATION

The masia is entered through a huge and impressive wooden door into a large hallway. To your left is a charming day room with fireplace, which is used for reading and relaxing. To your right through double doors is another day room with a double bed, providing additional sleeping for 2 people if required. A bathroom with shower is close by.

From either day room you enter the living room through beautiful stone arches. The living room has two comfortable sofas, large fireplace, TV and beautifully handcrafted Indian furniture and opens out onto the garden. The dining area has a huge marble table and ample seating for 12. At the far end of the living room is large and sunny rustic style kitchen with high ceilings and doors leading out onto the garden.

A charming staircase leads up to the first floor with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms are all spacious, bright, tastefully furnished and feature Mediterranean style wooden shutters, high beams and built in wardrobes. The two bathrooms are superbly and elegantly decorated and have under floor heating.

Outside of the house terraced steps lead to a large and beautiful swimming pool that has ample space for private sunbathing. Just by the pool is a large gazebo area housing a huge BBQ with marble seating for up to 20 people, ideal for outdoor dining both during the day and evenings.

Masia Can Suyas can sleep up to 12 people in 5 bedrooms arranged as follows;

OTHER INFORMATION
Although a local bus and taxi service is available we do recommend hiring a car in order to fully enjoy the local amenities and attractions.

Unfortunately, Masia Can Suyas is not suitable for wheelchair users.

RENTAL PRICES
Weekly rental prices for Masia Can Suyas are as follows;

January to April 15th, 2012      - 1,600 euros (min 3 nights)
Easter (Semana Santa)           - 2,300 euros (min 7 nights)
May to June 2012                   - 1,800 euros (min 3 nights)
June 2012                             - 2,400 euros (min 7 nights)
July and August 2012              - 3,100 euros (min 7 nights)
September 2012                    - 2,600 euros (min 7 nights)
October to December 2012      - 1,600 euros (min 3 nights)

Christmas and New Year          - 2,300 euros (min 7 nights)

Change over day is Friday.

Weekend breaks are available out of season so please enquire for rates and availability.

(A 100 euro cleaning fee is payable in addition to the above rental fees.)
